Project Season
Yup, it's the season of the projects in NUS. Everyone is busy with their many various projects and i am no exception. Today, I did my EE4214 Real-Time Embedded project together with my groupmates from 10am to 10pm. Plus I had a lecture and a tutorial in between too. Had to rush my lunch and smuggle dinner into lecture.
For those who don't know, this six-person embedded project is all about building a real-time system, and my group decided to build this cool 2-player fireball shooting arcade game with in-build sensors, microphones and LED tracks. The only drawback is that we started 8 weeks too late, and now we only have one and a half weeks left to complete it. But amazingly, we managed to get a lot of things done just within this week. Really give thanks to God, and also to all those who were praying for me.
For my part, I was in charge of the computational logic of the game. Was so happy today to see that the system can finally move the fireballs and neutralise the fireballs correctly on the fireball tracks which was just completed this afternoon!
For my other five groupmates, one was in charge of sensors circuit (for detecting hand movements like para para), one in charge of the microphone circuit (for voice detection to produce a shield), one in charge of the LED tracks (for showing the fireballs in their various positions using small 'light bulbs'), one in charge of graphics (for user interface and displaying nice characters shooting fireballs), and one more in charge of intergration (putting and coordinating everything together).
I am quite optimistic about completing this project soon. I still have other projects to do as well, but I prefer to focus on one at a time.
