Missing Ingredient in Wushu
Today, I did something very interesting during my wushu training. Gymnastics! Yes! Someone, who used to be a gymnast, came over today to learn wushu. So my teacher asked him to teach some of us gymnastics! Due to the lack of time, he only taught us the back somersault. Didn't manage to master it, but it's a start for me. My teacher then informed us that back in China, all wushu atheletes need to learn some gymnastics and dance as well! Apparently dance helps in posture and gymnastics helps in stunts. Hmm... could this be the missing ingredient for the wushu scene in Singapore?
