Tasteless 'La Mian'
Today is Deepavali, and some of my hall friends decided to go out together for lunch in Holland Village. It was then that I recommended them the Crystal Jade 'La Mian Xiao Long Bao' outlet.
For those who don't know, I am a fan of 'La Mian', which just means hand-pulled noodles. It is also called 'Ramen' in Japan. The first time I fell in love with 'La Mian' was during my visit to Japan. It was really so tasty and delicious then. After that when Ajisen Ramen appeared in Singapore, I became a frequent patron of it, my favourite being the 'Tontoro Ramen'. Though it's not as good as the ones in Japan, but it's satisfying enough. Soon, Crystal Jade also opened a 'La Mian Xiao Long Bao' outlet, and I discovered a new favourite: the Spring Onion "La Mian'!
Anyway, I ordered the Spring Onion 'La Mian' today, looking forward to a satisfying meal. However to my disappointment, when i digged into the noodles, they were tasteless! Apparently someone forgot to add the special sauce and soup to it. After requesting for the special ingredients, the 'La Mian' tasted so much better. How could they have forgotten such an important ingredient? Good thing it wasn't my first time trying the noodles, else I would have missed out on such a good dish.
