Gracious Society?
What is society becoming these days? Yesterday I went with my family to the library to borrow some books. My sister had to queue at the customer service to borrow a book that the machine could not detect. There was only one lady in the queue at that time, and this lady took an eternity explaining her problem at the service counter about changing some password and her two different accounts. And she keeps repeating herself. As time goes, the queue got longer. My mum and I even went to the front to stare at her, trying to hint to her that there is a lot of people still waiting behind. Did she get it? No... We left for dinner in the end without borrowing the book as we were all very hungry.
Today my family went to IKEA meatball place for dinner. It was very crowded, half of which consists of people chit chating and refusing to leave their seats for the many people still standing. The table I waited at had two ladies who finished their beverage and just refused to leave. It's just as bad on the roads, people not giving way, suddenly cutting in and all that. So much for a gracious society...
