The Maple Connection
I never knew MapleStory is such a great conversation starter, especially with young kids. That coming from my sister who chatted with two new young girls in church, and from Faith with her two young boy cousins. Well, MapleStory can get boring at times, but then again which game isn't? But I loved the exploration part, like when going underground, it gets deeper and deeper, monsters get bigger and more scary, and it almost seems like it never ends. Of course there's the levelling part, of which I am currently a level 43 fighter. Levelling gets boring very quickly, and it takes very long to just gain one level. As result many people quit the game. However the real experience of any MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) is the human interaction. Friends can be made through these games and teamwork is a must to complete certain quests or overcome certain monsters. But I find it very hard to work with small kids as half the time they don't really know what they are doing or saying. And MapleStory is filled with these kids who can be really very irritating, pestering others to give them free stuff or help them complete a quest. Anyway, people may ask why I play then? Because it's the only MMORPG that is free forever, and that many people I know are playing it as well.
